The Professional Builder

Creative Operations Manager

Location: Remote

Our creative team ships a lot. The system behind it needs to be built.

We're growing fast -- and the volume of creative work coming out of our marketing team is only going up. Meta ads. Video scripts. Email campaigns. Landing pages. Organic content. Five international events a year. A podcast. A YouTube channel. A founder with a serious media presence.

The output is real. The pace is real. And right now, we need someone to build the operational infrastructure that lets all of it run without friction.

That's the problem. If you're the kind of person who reads that and thinks "I know exactly how to fix that," this role is for you.

At The Professional Builder, we help trades and construction business owners across New Zealand, Australia, and North America build better businesses and better lives. 2,300+ members. Grown 10x in six years. And we're not slowing down.

What you'll be doing

  • You'll own the full creative production system -- the queue, the workflows, the SOPs, the quality reviews, and how resources are allocated across the team.
  • You'll identify bottlenecks before they become blockers.
  • You'll build processes that actually scale.
  • You'll track the metrics that matter and use them to keep improving.
  • And you'll work closely with the creative leads to make sure the team has what they need to do great work, without the chaos.
  • Every SOP you write, every workflow you improve, makes the whole team better indefinitely. This is a building role, not a maintaining one.

You're the right person if

  • You've run operations inside a creative or marketing environment before.
  • You think in systems, not just tasks.
  • You're strong on project management tools and you can build processes that people actually follow.
  • Quality control feels like craft to you, not admin.
  • You're data-driven, you make decisions, and you thrive when the pace is high.

This isn't for you if you need a quiet, stable environment to do your best work, you prefer to inherit someone else's system rather than build your own, or you get frustrated when priorities shift quickly.

What life looks like here

  • This is a fully remote role with the chance to travel domestically and internationally for our member events and roadshows.
  • We invest seriously in our team.
  • You'll have access to Cole Gordon's 8-Figure Boardroom, Taki Moore's Boardroom, the 7-Figure Sales Academy, public speaking training, and more.
  • We also promote from within, fast. Our General Manager started as an intern. Our Events Manager was an EA. Our Head of Member Success started at the lowest rung of the ladder. If you're curious, competitive, and you keep winning, we'll find you a bigger game to play. We expect you to be in a new role 12 months from now.

We're a 2025 New Zealand Best Places to Work Finalist, ranked in the top 1% of building coaching companies worldwide, with a Google review count of 4.7 and an employee NPS of 94.5.

Compensation:

Competitive, based on experience. Preference for candidates based in Australia or New Zealand.
