The Professional Builder

Appointment Setter

Location: Fully Remote | Open to candidates in New Zealand, Australia, USA or Canada

Turn Interest Into Action -- And Build a Serious Sales Career

The Professional Builder helps residential builders and general contractors build better, more profitable businesses through coaching, systems, accountability, and business growth support.

We work with builders across New Zealand, Australia, Canada, the United States, and other international markets, and we are proud to be a 2025 NZ Best Places to Work Finalist.

We are not a typical corporate company, and this is not a "just dial numbers" sales role.

We are looking for a sharp, confident, resilient Appointment Setter to qualify inbound, warm, and nurtured leads, build real rapport with prospective members, and book high-quality strategy calls for our sales team.

This role is ideal for someone who loves targets, enjoys talking to business owners, and wants to grow inside a fast-moving, high-performance sales environment.

What This Role Could Do For You

  • This is a role where you can sharpen your communication, build real sales discipline, and learn how a strong international sales and marketing team operates.
  • You will get training, feedback, role plays, call reviews, coaching, and exposure to a proven sales process. You will learn how to ask better questions, handle objections, create urgency, follow up properly, and book conversations that genuinely matter.
  • You will not just be "setting appointments." You will be helping qualified builders take the first step toward improving their business, while building the skills that could open the door to Closer, senior sales, or other growth roles over time.
  • For the right person, this is a serious stepping stone.

What You'll Be Doing

You will be responsible for turning interest into booked strategy calls.

That means:

  • Contacting and qualifying inbound, warm, and nurtured leads
  • Booking qualified prospects into strategy calls with the sales team
  • Following up consistently through phone, email, SMS, and CRM tasks
  • Asking strong discovery questions to understand goals, pain points, and urgency
  • Building rapport with residential builders and business owners
  • Keeping accurate CRM notes and pipeline updates
  • Hitting daily and weekly KPIs for outreach, booked calls, and show rates
  • Working closely with MDRs, Closers, and sales leadership
  • Participating in sales training, role plays, call reviews, and team coaching

This is not a passive inbox role. You will need energy, consistency, confidence, and strong follow-through.

Who We're Looking For

You may come from appointment setting, sales, SDR, customer success, recruitment, account management, or another phone-based role.

You will likely thrive here if you:

  • Have strong spoken English and confident communication
  • Are comfortable speaking with business owners
  • Can follow a script while still sounding natural and human
  • Enjoy targets, scoreboards, feedback, and improvement
  • Are highly organised and consistent with follow-up
  • Can handle rejection without losing momentum
  • Are self-motivated, resilient, and performance-driven
  • Want to learn, improve quickly, and be coached
  • Are comfortable using CRM systems, Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, and remote tools

We are looking for people who bring energy without ego. People who are hungry to improve, reliable enough to trust, and driven enough to keep going when the easy calls are done.

What Life at TPB Is Like

  • TPB operates more like a professional sports team than a traditional office.
  • We move quickly, give direct feedback, celebrate wins, review performance, and keep raising the standard. You will be supported, trained, and coached -- but you will also be expected to own your numbers, your follow-up, and your improvement.
  • You will have the flexibility of remote work, but you will not be isolated. You will be part of an international team that cares about performance, growth, and helping builders get better results.
  • No corporate fluff. No hiding behind activity. No waiting to be pushed.
  • Just a sharp, ambitious team looking for people who want to win properly.

What You'll Get

  • Performance-based earning potential: Compensation may be commission-based or base-plus-performance depending on the market, region, and final role structure.
  • Contractor-friendly setup: Most sales roles are structured as independent contractor opportunities, depending on location and business requirements.
  • Remote work: Work from home, or wherever you do your best focused work.
  • Warm and nurtured leads: You'll be working with prospects who have already interacted with TPB through marketing, content, events, webinars, referrals, and campaigns.
  • Full training and support: Every new team member is set up with structured onboarding, sales training, call reviews, feedback, and support so you can step into the role with confidence.
  • Access to elite-level training: TPB invests heavily in development, including learning influenced by Taki Moore / Million Dollar Coach, Boardroom-style training, Cole Gordon, Vinh Giang, Traffic & Funnels, and more.
  • Learn from a high-performing team: You'll work with an experienced international sales and marketing team that knows how to generate demand, build funnels, and convert the right clients.
  • Career growth: Strong performers can grow into senior setter, closer, leadership, or other commercial roles.
  • No boring corporate energy: TPB is young, vibrant, direct, and growth-obsessed. If you like feedback, pace, and performance, you'll fit right in.
  • A team that wants to win: We give fair and honest feedback because we want you to hit your goals, grow your skillset, and become an A+ player.

If you like talking to people, enjoy targets, and want to build a real sales career with a fast-moving global team, this could be a brilliant next step.
