The Professional Builder

Marketing Development Representative

Remote | Work From Home

For People Who Want to Get Seriously Good at Sales

The Professional Builder is the world's leading business mentoring company for residential construction business owners. We help builders systemise, scale, increase profit, build stronger teams, and reclaim their time.

We are looking for a Marketing Development Representative who is genuinely obsessed with sales, people, psychology, communication, and the transformation that happens when the right prospect makes the right decision.

This is not a role for someone who just wants to "make a few calls."

This is for someone who wants to master the craft.

At TPB, we believe great salespeople do more than follow up with leads. They coach prospects. They ask sharp questions. They challenge limiting beliefs. They help business owners see what is really going on, what is costing them, and what could be possible if they made a different decision.

If you devour books, podcasts, courses, and content on sales, negotiation, psychology, human behaviour, business growth, and high performance, you will probably feel at home here.

If you have experience selling by chat, phone, power dialers, direct outreach, or in the high-ticket coaching space -- and you want to join a growth-obsessed team that takes sales seriously -- this could be exactly what you have been looking for.

What This Role Could Do For You

This role is a proving ground.

You will learn how to open conversations, build trust quickly, ask better questions, listen for real pain, challenge thinking, handle resistance, and move qualified prospects through a sales process with care and discipline.

You will work with warm, marketing-qualified leads who have already engaged with TPB through our content, events, ads, resources, or other marketing assets. Your job is to create a high-quality first experience, understand where they are in their business, and book qualified sales opportunities for our Sales Team.

You will get call reviews, coaching, feedback, training, and the kind of repetition that makes people great.

Some weeks will feel easy. Some weeks will be a grind. The people who win here understand that mastering sales means doing the basics well, even when it is repetitive.

If you want career progression, bigger opportunities, and the confidence that comes from becoming excellent at the craft, this is a strong place to start.

What You'll Be Doing

You will be responsible for connecting with leads, "greasing the wheels" of the funnel, and making sure prospects move through the process with a high level of service.

That means:

  • Contacting warm and marketing-qualified leads by phone, SMS, email, chat, CRM tasks, power diallers, and direct outreach
  • Running consultative discovery conversations with small to medium-sized residential construction business owners
  • Asking strong questions to understand goals, pain points, urgency, and fit
  • Challenging limiting beliefs where appropriate and helping prospects see what is possible
  • Booking sales-qualified leads with the Sales Team
  • Prospecting, nurturing, and managing pipeline opportunities
  • Keeping follow-up consistent and professional
  • Updating the CRM accurately and maintaining a clean pipeline
  • Attending meetings, sales training, call reviews, and team coaching
  • Hitting monthly booked meeting, held meeting, closed-won meeting, and activity KPIs
  • Recommending improvements to scripts, follow-up processes, and lead handling based on data, training, and best practice

This is not an inbox-watching role. You will be expected to move quickly, think clearly, and keep the pipeline moving.

Who We're Looking For

You do not need the most impressive resume in the world.

You do need to be personable, intelligent, coachable, consistent, and comfortable speaking with business owners.

You will likely thrive here if you:

  • Have experience in sales, appointment setting, SDR, MDR, customer success, outreach, or high-ticket coaching sales
  • Are confident on the phone and able to hold a conversation like a great podcast interviewer
  • Have strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
  • Can follow a proven process without sounding robotic
  • Are coachable and willing to take constructive criticism
  • Are comfortable with call reviews and direct feedback
  • Can make repetitive calls and hit KPIs
  • Are not afraid of rejection or hearing "no"
  • Have a growth mindset and actively invest in your own development
  • Share useful podcasts, books, sales insights, and ideas that raise the standard of the team
  • Are tech-savvy enough to work through booking, CRM, and remote-work challenges
  • Can be both quarterback and waterboy in the same week
  • Want to progress your career, but are willing to learn the business from the ground up

We are looking for people with energy, humility, resilience, and genuine curiosity.

People who want to win, but also want to get better.

What Life at TPB Is Like

TPB is not a sleepy corporate workplace.

We operate more like a professional sports team. We train, review, improve, compete, support each other, and keep raising the standard.

You will be surrounded by people who care about performance, personal development, business growth, and doing work that actually helps members improve their lives and companies.

You will have the freedom of remote work, but you will also have structure, scoreboards, coaching, feedback, and clear expectations.

No hiding. No coasting. No pretending activity equals progress.

Just a sharp, ambitious team looking for people who want to become excellent.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working remotely or in a digital working environment
  • Strong spoken and written English
  • Confident computer skills
  • Experience using tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, GoHighLevel, Zoom, CRM systems, diallers, and remote-work platforms
  • Ability to work from home with reliable internet and a professional setup
  • Willingness to work to team standards, sales processes, and performance KPIs

Compensation

  • Monthly salary of $1,800-$2,500, based on experience and skill level
  • Performance expectations tied to booked meetings, held meetings, closed-won meetings, and key activity metrics
  • Sales training, call reviews, coaching, and development support
  • Remote work-from-home role
  • Opportunity to grow within a serious sales and business growth environment
